【展覽簡介】如是我在

時空感知，一直是我繪畫創作的主題，生活並行著創作，每個階段體驗不同未必是進化，有時為了創作也把閒待生活當正經事，專注消磨於時間的流逝變化。而這次畫的就是一個人什麼事都沒做，純粹待著，安靜獨處於一個物件很少的空間，暫時放下那些無能為力的事並從追求意義裡脫身，以微不足道的當下為中心，單純感受環繞周身流動的時間，時而目光游移於虛實臨界，或出離或放空，或隨心所往進入某個時空現場。因而如何遣用色彩成為經歷空間虛實中所意識的時態，便是這次作品語言朝向的探索。而在另方面，當自己覺察處身「如是我在」的意識流中，真如臨水照花，時而恍惚若夢時而落霞驚鸿時而僅心平氣和，想撈起的已然流去，能握到的只是一手時間的清涼。

【Introduction to the Exhibition】

As If I Were Here

The perception of space-and-time has always been my artistic concern. Living is making art, while artmaking is a way of living. Every stage of life offers us a different experience, though it is not necessarily an evolution. Sometimes, for the sake of artmaking, I treat my leisure with extraordinary seriousness, concentrating on how I deal with the passing of time. In the recent works, I depict a person silently staying inside a room with few objects, doing nothing at all except for spending time with oneself. In such a serenity, the person is allowed to liberate oneself from the helplessness and to escape from the pursuit of meaning. Centering the moment of triviality, the person perceives the stream of the absolute time. The gaze travels between illusion and reality, reaching beyond the boundary of the body until it finds its presence in another space-and-time at its own will. How the use of colors visualizes the concept of time as experienced in the world between illusion and reality is what the artwork attempts to explore. Meanwhile, when you realize you are in the consciousness stream of “being here,” you will find a pure solitude in your own reflection. Mesmerized, amazed, or tranquilized, we cup our hand in the stream of time, trying to catch something, but only to find the refreshing chill in our grips.
