性行為讓動物世界得以存在，在許多東方的傳統文化中，性並不被視為禁忌，而是世界賴以存在的神聖現實。然而現今世界將性壓抑、視為人類屈服於慾望的玷污，把性行為與無明、憤怒與慾望交纏成為痛苦的惡道。

Sexual intercourse makes it possible for the animal world to exist. In many eastern traditions, sex is seen not as taboo, but the sacred reality that populates the world. Yet the act is tainted by our inhibitions as well as the human tendency to give in to desires. Ignorance, anger, and desire enmeshed with the sexual act relegate it to the lower realms of suffering.
