Our school’s Athletic Day begins with the signature TCV calisthenics — a carefully choreographed display by students on the playground, forming messages visible from above.
Each year, the ground becomes a living canvas spelling out tributes like Long Live His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Thank You India, Save the Environment, or most tenderly, Thank You Amala — honoring Jetsun Pema la for her lifelong dedication to Tibetan children. The sprawling grounds turn into a tapestry of movement and meaning — students in perfect synchrony, the mountains in the distance, the sun catching on school buildings. It’s more than a performance; it’s a quiet act of collective gratitude and pride. For me, that day — that image — is like a rose blooming in memory, full of beauty, discipline, and love.
