師大美術系碩士班畢
姜義才老師由指導教授孫家勤先生，上溯張大千的藝術世界，廣納東方古典水墨美學精神，從美術史中尋找繪畫的傳承與開拓點。自大學時代起，便學習宋代藝術家思維，學習故宮名畫以鍛鍊筆墨與史觀，後更從元、明、清...所有可以吸收養分的大家中，開拓廣度與淳雅的氣息。
其所表現的形制多樣，無論成扇、團扇、冊頁、長卷、屏風、瓷繪、竹木題記雕刻.....，在在都表現典雅文風，書畫兼擅，使其作品的筆墨，猶能從歷代大師的美學精神中，汲取營養於當今的發展與己身的創見。
此次福爾摩沙展出，姜老師特別提供手繪瓷盤、日製老屏風水墨作品、珍藏明代老紙繪製作品，搭配虎皮宣及手染酸枝框裝池，更增典藏價值，姜老師巧思無微不至，以期每件作品都能傳世典藏。
創作理念：
我希望在古典繪畫領域當中，還有人能夠繼承前輩大師創作的觀念，師其心，而不是師其技，因為我個人覺得自己在筆墨跟氣韻，還有畫外之功的鍛鍊上面，我一直都是徜徉在藝術的氛圍當中，所以我自己對於未來的創作，我本身還是希望看起來是書畫領域，而不是因為我要追求當代或是現代，而讓書畫變成西洋畫，這部分或許是一個堅持，但是某方面來說，我覺得在鍛鍊過程當中，我自己的成長是在韻味上面，慢慢地比較收放自如，也覺得比以前畫的，在質感上來的更好，至於未來的期許，我覺得是不可期的，他是無法設計出來的，但是我覺得是可以期待的。
Graduated from the Master's program of the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan Normal University, under the guidance of Professor Sun Jiaqin. Yi-Tsai JIANG explores the artistic world of Zhang Daqian and embraces the spirit of classical Eastern ink aesthetics, seeking the inheritance and exploration of painting within art history. Since his undergraduate years, he has studied the mindset of Song Dynasty artists and learned from the famous paintings in the National Palace Museum to refine his brushwork and historical perspective. Later, he delved into the art of the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, broadening his horizons and cultivating a pure and elegant artistic atmosphere.
Yi-Tsai JIANG's artworks exhibit various forms, whether it be folding fans, round fans, album pages, long scrolls, folding screens, porcelain painting, or bamboo and wood inscriptions. Each piece exudes an elegant and refined literary style, showcasing his mastery in both calligraphy and painting. The brushwork in his works draws inspiration from the aesthetic spirits of past masters, nourished by contemporary development and his own creative insights.
For this exhibition in Formosa, Yi-Tsai JIANG specially provides hand-painted porcelain plates, ink paintings on vintage Japanese screens, and precious Ming Dynasty paper artworks. These are complemented by tiger skin Xuans and acid-dyed Zitan frames, further enhancing their collectible value. With meticulous craftsmanship, Jiang Yicai aims for each artwork to become a timeless treasure.
Creative Concept:
In the field of classical painting, I hope that there are still people who can inherit the conceptual ideas of previous masters, learning from their hearts rather than just their techniques. Personally, I have always immersed myself in the atmosphere of art, constantly honing my brushwork, artistic conception, and the essence beyond the painting. Therefore, for my future creations, I still aspire for them to be seen as works in the field of calligraphy and painting, rather than pursuing a contemporary or modern style that turns traditional painting into Western art. This may be a matter of persistence, but in my opinion, during the process of refinement, I have experienced growth in the artistic charm. I feel more at ease and believe that my works have improved in terms of texture compared to the past. As for my expectations for the future, I believe they are unpredictable and cannot be designed, but they are something to be anticipated.
In April 2023, Yi-Tsai JIANG was invited by the National Museum of Amsterdam in the Netherlands to exhibit a collection of one hundred folding fans, marking another peak in his personal artistic achievements.
