在藝術界打滾多年的畠山昌子，是年年積攥，並俱堅強實力的藝術家。「光」的牽引，是畠山作畫的契機。樹木間流淌的波光粼粼及清脆綠蔭、水面上映照的晶燦與灰蔭等，皆積存深藏在她的腦海裡。那是烙印在她眼眸中的景象，也是動搖她情感的存在。她一筆一線地將如輕觸般存在於自己和某個人的心中那些令人憐愛的小事、那些情感被撕裂如針扎般疼痛的感覺、及那些無法傳遞般遙遠卻又溫暖真切的氣息，細細勾畫並一點一滴的滲入，透出畫框裡的平靜。倚賴著她筆下的溫柔，觀者也許將沈靜在那光影間的回憶中。
Shoko Hatakeyama creations are lead by the lights: as the glistening light of water waves or the sunshine between the leaves. Those sights has taken her breath away and are burned into her eyes as memories. She wants to express "those little things in life which are loved and saved in her or other people's hearts", "the feeling of prickling pain by heart broken", and "those whispers couldn't be delivered but they actually had been existed with warmth" by her painting.
