Ukiyoe x Contemporary Culture. He started his art style by drawing delicious French bread at a bakery where he worked, and came up with an interesting combination of French bread and Ukiyo-e, which surprised everyone by being Western and Japanese. As he painted with Ukiyoe as a reference, he learned more about the history and historical background of Ukiyoe and felt more and more that it was a valuable Japanese culture. What at the time was a familiar art object to be displayed in a room and put on a fan has, over time, become a world-class work of art of the highest caliber. While retaining the composition and satirical ideas, and incorporating the contemporary culture he has come into contact with, he has created works that convey the "present" to future generations.
