他曾是一名摇滚音乐人，2015年从音乐界转型到艺术界。从他从事音乐时起，他在作曲和作词方面就表现出了创造力，把创作音乐这种无形的东西作为深厚的基础，在艺术创作上，他继承了从事音乐时期积累的经验。他将强烈的光线和深沉的黑暗、生动的情感和颓废的情绪、爱神和死神等两种对立的元素锁定在同一幅画布中，创造出一个强烈对比的戏剧性世界。从投射一个无形的、自我内心涌动的情感、幻想或记忆碎片形成的故事出发，最终转化为神话、天使、神兽凤凰等这种有形的“象征”。在2023年的今天，其独特的世界观与现代科技和迷幻元素紧密融合，描绘了一个更加变形，随心所欲的神话世界。
Born in 1971 in Hakodate, Hokkaido. Inspired by a friend who is an artist, he began painting seriously.
Teruhiko Kobashi self-taught himself in painting, creating more than 100 works as a painter, and he held his first solo painting exhibition "Visualization of Sound" in his hometown of Hakodate in 2023. The theme of his work is to visualize the tones of sounds as he comes from a band and his musical background. Allowing the viewers to witness his expressions by adopting pale, fleeting colors that is reminiscent of the traditional Japanese technique of Suiboku-ga (ink painting).
He has attracted many people with his artistic expression that transcends the borderlines of music and art. The artist takes the ink-smears that are accidentally created during the process of painting that keep spreading by the strength of his brush strokes or the movement of water, as a comparison to his music.
His career as the vocalist of the Japanese rock band GLAY, he has provided music, visual design for music, art direction, and had collaborated with various music and art artists, expanding his creative activities in a wide range of fields.
