Following that, he returned Sydney through the project for artist residency granted by Council for Cultural Affairs, Taiwan.

His art practices crossing the domain of art, design, humanities and social science were vastly exhibited or published on journals. In the field of education, he has abundant experiences in teaching in domestic universities, including Ming Chuan University, National Taiwan University of Arts and Fu Jen Catholic University; he also teaches design, cultural creativity and art in Hong Kong School of Design as a visiting scholar and in Harbin Normal University as guest professor. Styleplus Design has won Red Dot Design Award and award from Macau and H.K. by its images of packaging design.

After the research and artistic practices during the residency in Sydney in 2009, the series Mundane Fantasy, The Clues and The Zootopia reflected the artist’s concern in how human visual nervous system interacts with the society in Taiwan, with an eye to representing Taiwanese vernacular visual culture and urban lifestyle through ordinary views. When he wrote the book Virtual Songs during his stay in Australia since 2007, he began to observe KTV, a virtual consumer place of entertainment, as an issue of subculture, to discover the urban entertainment serving to relieve the pressure generated in modern life. This exhibition titled with Zootopia conveys insights of the relationship between human self-perception and “material events” in consumer society; meanwhile, it suggests a metaphor about life narratives and narrative development.

The Zootopia is the playground of children as well the mirror garden of adults.

In Taiwan, it is the lively interaction between foreign visual elements and local symbol system that constitutes the diverse and even clamorous visual culture. When WANG Tseng is facing the multiple identity (an artist, a designer, a scholar and a company operator), he creates an area out of the spectrum of physical or virtual place; furthermore, he paves the way for audience to experience the distorted and biting illusion in the heterogeneous culture. Design is objective while art is a subjective; therefore, after ups and downs, WANG paints out his thoughts and concerns in his works, connecting dots to raise a collective question toward life.

In his creation, the tone is not only lyric but soothing; on top of that, the style is close to the expression of aesthetics and Chinese literati painting, which is enabled to realistically react to the characteristics of the practical life, and especially the possibility of everything. From the experience of sketching from a zoo, he looked into the interesting relationship among humans, animals and spaces, gaining new inspiration and imagination. Similar to the concept written in his book Virtual Songs, each consumptive image in life is originated from symbols of traps; therefore, by using contrasting colors and varying icons, he constructs creative visions to constitute and critical concepts to explain the visual myth, consumer culture, as well as social phenomenon in our culture from a varied aspect.
