當生命經驗逐漸趨於規律、節奏化，「當下」的厚度就會開始漸漸地被忽略、壓縮，甚至遺忘。然而，對於那些試圖捕捉片刻，與此刻建立連結的創作者而言，時間並非隨線性推移的指針軌跡，而是一種全神貫注的停駐——一筆、一圈、一個圖像，皆可能成為他們日常情感與記憶所凝結的載體。法國哲學家亨利・柏格森（Henri Bergson）稱之為「純粹綿延」（la durée pure），一種無法被機械時間切割的內在經驗流。感官與意識如溪流般持續流動，過去與現在無法被線性分隔，而是重疊、交融、共存於意識之中，而《我的房間長出了畫》正是「時間的持續」在視覺藝術上的具體映現。

「畫畫是我生活中很重要的事。」
五位青年藝術家選擇畫畫，作為一種超越語言的自由實踐，畫面跳脫傳統邏輯框架，卻直指情感與感官的核心。無論是繞圈圈、分離的身體，還是不斷變化的線條，都映射創作者出對萬物的獨特觀察與理解，並為自己創造出無拘無束的表達領域。彷彿是一種身體特殊的機制延伸，將那份對當下瞬間的執著轉化為圖像，不僅是視覺的表現，也是情感的釋放和轉化。個體不再被環境所定義，創作亦不只是個人小宇宙的延伸，而是準備邁向世界的一個階段。

As life settles into routines and rhythms, the richness of the present moment can begin to fade—overlooked, compressed, or even forgotten. Yet for those who strive to capture fleeting moments and connect with the now, time is not a straight line but a mindful stillness. Each brushstroke, each loop, each image becomes a vessel that crystallizes daily emotions and memories.

French philosopher Henri Bergson called this la durée pure—pure duration—a continuous flow of inner experience that cannot be segmented by mechanical time. Like a stream, consciousness flows, with past and present overlapping, merging, and coexisting. In My Room Grew a Painting, this sustained sense of time finds visual expression through color, form, and feeling.

“Painting is an essential part of my life.”
For the five emerging artists featured in this exhibition, painting is a free practice that transcends language. Their works depart from traditional logic and speak directly to emotion and the senses. Whether through circular gestures, fragmented bodies, or shifting lines, each artwork reflects a distinct observation of the world, creating a space for unbounded personal expression.

As if extending the body’s mechanisms, their creative processes transform an intense awareness of the present into visual form—not only as representation, but as a release and transformation of emotion. Here, the self is no longer defined by its surroundings. Creation becomes more than a personal universe—it becomes a threshold for stepping into the world.
