【展覽簡介】

睽違多年，今年十一月於科元藝術中心及ART TAIPEI 2016台北國際藝術博覽會中，再次推出藝術家余宗杰的個展。
從科元藝術中心第一屆「青春嶺-2000藝術新星聯展」起與余宗杰合作至今，已超過十餘載。這些年，在台灣北、中、南坐落於各建築案件公共藝術景觀裡，均可看見余宗杰的大型作品。
再次回顧藝術家充滿自信的創作理念，每每能感受創作者仍保存著最誠摯的「初心」。誠如藝術家所述，在創作的過程中，依聽到風吹過的聲音，來決定作品的型態，顯示著無事先佈局的美感。隨著當下的直覺，形成作品，這就是余宗杰最最自然可貴之處。
今年展出藝術家的新嘗試，兩件大型作品外，另有兩件吊掛式雕塑。就讓我們一起來聽聽風吹過的聲音，擁抱新作所帶來的感動。

【Introduction to the Exhibition】

Ke-Yuan Gallery is honored to grandly present solo exhibition of “Yu Tsung-Chieh” this fall, opening on 05 November and on view through 04 December 2016. In addition to ART TAIPEI 2016 Booth P1.

It has been over a decade since Ke-Yuan Gallery began to work with Yu Tsung-Chieh at the first "Youth Peak-2016 Art Newstars Exhibition". Throughout the years, Yu’s large-size artworks have been seen everywhere, including the numerous public art projects in buildings around Taiwan.

Every time when we examine the artist’s confidence in his artistic belief, we can always feel his unchanged honesty and dedication. As what he has said, a sound of wind heard in his art-making sometimes determines the final form of the work. Instead of following the pre-arranged plan, he transforms the spontaneous instinct into a work of art. Such an honesty is the most precious thing about him.

The exhibits in this year’s exhibition are his latest artistic attempt, which includes two large-size artworks and two suspended sculptures. Let us hear the music of the wind as we embrace the overwhelming experience offered by the artworks.
