「hUMAn」
人類巨大的前額葉皮層是由邏輯所構成的平衡。
溫暖和緊繃的心臟是情感之所在。
邏輯和情感。
兩者都是錯綜複雜的。
我認為它們交織在一起，看起來像一體，但似乎又是分開的。
我們不太了解它們。
兩者之間的平衡非常不穩定。
它如果被戳破，那麼肯定會崩解。
因為每個人對於它們所設定的價值都不同。
有時我認為某人看起來像是個怪物且我自己也是。
我因為很擔心所以看著鏡中的自己。
但是我們哭泣、祈禱並為某人仁慈。

我們很模糊。
我們身份不明。
我們是人類。

The human large prefrontal cortex is a balance made of logic.
The heart that is warmed and tightened is where emotions are.
Logic and emotion.
Both of humans are made intricately.
I think they are intertwined and look like one, but they seemed to be separate.
We don't know them well.
The balance between the two is very unstable.
If it is poked, it will surely collapse.
Because the balance setting value is different for each person.
Sometimes I think that somebody looks like a monster and so do I.
I see myself in the mirror because I'm worried.
But we cry, pray, and be merciful for someone.

We are vague.
We are unidentified.
We are hUMAn

Aya Shimohara
藝術家與插畫家，出生於1986年。Aya Shimohara下原亜矢曾擔任服裝設計師和規劃師。自2017年以來，她一直獨立從事自由藝術工作者和插畫家的身分。至目前為止，她一直在積極地向各個國家展出自己的創作。她的作品主要是關於“對立”、“反諷”、和“不協調”主題的人物肖像。她的活動在紐約、倫敦、雪梨和台北等地進行。由於色彩，她的作品看起來像是潮流和可愛的風格。然而，她的主題很嚴格，試圖形成巨大的反差。

Born in 1986. Aya Shimohara has worked for apparel as a designer & planner. And She has been independent as a freelance artist & illustrator since 2017. Until now, She has been actively exhibiting various countries. Her works is mainly about characteristic portraits on the theme of “antithesis”“irony” and “incongruity”. Her activities take place in NY, London, Sydney, and Taiwan and such. Her works looks POP and KAWAII because of colors. However, her theme is severe and trying to make a huge contrast.
