“The mind of a person is capable of incredible feats, although this leads to an outstanding amount of negative thoughts and worries, which I believe to be a major flaw in the human brain. Thinking and worrying go hand in hand, and make us humans incredibly difficult to decrypt, and it is something we absolutely cannot avoid.
These works express our innermost desire of knowing what a person could be thinking in a certain and specific moment.
Since everyone is different in its own way, when one sees a person deep in their worries and wonders two different individuals could come to completely different conclusions, which inspired me to create artworks in which the children in the painting’s thoughts are an absolute mystery.
My question to you is: what do you think is going on inside their brain? By asking yourself that question and finding an answer, you too are now part of the work since the people surrounding you could be looking at you the same way you are looking at the paintings.”
