作品敘述
我創作人物像，並不是因為對人體的造型感興趣，或是為了追求那種美感，我是依據對象本身擁有的自我、人格、個性等的內在資訊去塑形、製作人物像。
關於自畫像系列，我們每個人從出生以來，在家中圍繞在身邊 的、一起度過大多數時間的，都是跟自己有著相似臉龐的人們 ，如父母、兄弟姊妹、親戚等。因此我想，在我們的認知中臉這個概念，也就變成了和自己相似的東西了吧。對方臉的象徵圖像變的和自己的臉相似，舉例來說，有時候可以看到寵物狗狗長得很像飼主，或者是夫婦兩個人的臉長得很像等等。因為自己所認知的臉是和自己相似的，所以會下意識的去尋找、選 擇與自己相似的事物，我想這是有可能的。
因為如此，我在創作人物像的時候也沒有特定的主題或特定人物的意像。因為當一個人去創作人物像時，無意識之中就會創作出和自己相似的樣子。此外，無論是男性像還是女性像，我都將它稱之為自畫像。
I did not create portraits because I was interested in the shape of the human body, nor because I was pursuing that sense of beauty. I create portraits in the shape of the sitter’s personality, character, and inner-self.
Regarding of self-portraits series: since birth, each of us are surrounded by, and spend most of our time with those whom we shared similar facial features, for example, out parents, siblings, and relatives. Therefore, I think that in our perception, the concept of “face” has become something similar to the concept of “self”. The attribute of other’s facial feature has becomes similar to our own. For example, sometimes a pet and its owner share similar looks, or that married couple tend to have similar facial features, etc. This is because the “face” one recognizes is similar with one’s own “face”, thus I think it is possible that one will subconsciously seek and choose something or someone that is similar to oneself.
Due to this reason, I did not have a specific theme or image of a specific person in mind when I’m creating portraits. Because, I believe that in the process of creating portrait, one will subconsciously draw out features that are similar to one’s own. In addition, no matter whether it is a portrait of male or female, I named them all self-portrait.
