曹圭訓 Jo Gyuhun (1982~)
韓國藝術家曹圭訓出生於韓國仁川，畢業於韓瑞大學視覺動畫學士，現居仁川。作品曾發表於釜山國際藝術博覽會、Seoul Art Show等韓國指標性藝術博覽會，2022年攜手大雋藝術首度進行海外創作發表計畫，2023年九月將舉辦首次台灣個展。
其創作以孩子的視角作為靈感，打造一童話化境，張眼的瞬間，目光所致皆充滿各種奇想與可能，正如他自述道：「孩子正捂著他們的臉。在他們隱藏的面孔背後，他們看到了什麼？他們想傳達什麼訊息呢？孩子捂著臉，也許他在玩遊戲，也可能在遮羞。對孩子來說，世界是他/她躲貓貓的遊戲場，是個充滿驚奇和好奇的地方。」期許透過鮮活的形象塑造及情節鋪敘，令觀者愉悅地懷想曾經簡單即能滿足的小幸福、憶起兒時那份情竇初開的小美好。
Jo Gyuhun was born in Incheon, Korea, in 1982 and graduated from Hanseo University, majoring in animation. Jo is based in Incheon and his works have been showcased at prestigious Korean art fairs such as the Busan International Art Fair and Seoul Art Show. Jo started working with Rich Art for overseas presentations in 2022. In September 2023, Jo will hold his first Taiwan solo show at Rich Art Gallery.
Inspired by the perspective of children, Jo Gyuhun creates innocent imageries filled with imagination and possibilities , as Jo said“Children are hiding their faces. Behind their hidden faces, what do they see? What are their expressions? The child is hiding the face. Maybe the child is playing a game. Maybe the child is shy. To the child, the world is the place where he or she wants to hide from. And yet, it is also the place full of wonder and curiosity“, hoping the lively scenarios and narratives will remind viewers of simple joys and the beautiful memories of first loves.
