My painting is part of a series that explores the theme of confinement and freedom. The painting is a metaphor for how people are often put into boxes, both as children and as adults, and how we can grow into and out of those spaces. While some of the boxes and spaces depicted in the series may represent struggle and constraint, others can be seen as safe spaces that offer a sense of security and comfort. In this particular painting, the abstract tiger's contorted body can be interpreted as both a struggle and a release. While the tiger may feel trapped and constrained by its physical environment, its fierce expression suggests a willingness to fight against those limitations and push beyond them.I aim to convey the complex emotions and experiences of the tiger, and to invite viewers to reflect on their own relationship to confinement and freedom. The series as a whole encourages us to challenge our preconceptions about space and to see even the most confining of boxes as opportunities for growth and transform.
