創作論述|
這次展覽,源自2018年個展作品《沒事》,再經歷了隔年文化部創作補助的發展,以及去年因應個展的重新創作而成,主要關注物如何作用於人的課題。
從人出發的視角,物之於人,成為某種純粹心智活動的表現,或是使用性的工具和意義邏輯;然而實際上,物和物的技術配置,總是將反饋銘刻於人的身體裡,在互動關係中自然地形成對世界的理解,只是這些感知逸散在空氣中,雖然無孔不入,卻透明得虛無縹緲。
我想試著描繪那片模糊,並透過結構性思惟的轉變,將自然物質、人造物件和數位影像及其相關技術,在不斷過渡中前進的人類社會,所牽引起外部客觀現實到內在主觀認知的過程掀起翻攪,藉此思考展覽涉及到的時間、空間和人於世界的問題意識。

Artist Statement|
This exhibition highlights the impact of objects on humans, and it has evolved quite a few times before it becomes what it is today. On the basis of one of my earlier works, “Nothing Happens”, which was presented in my 2018 solo exhibition, I further developed a series of works because I received a grant from the Ministry of Culture in 2019, and I recreated another version of these works to better illustrate what I’ve observed throughout these years for this exhibition.
From human perspectives, objects reflect our mindsets, or simply fall into the categories of tools or logical concepts, but in reality, arrays of objects imprint certain perceptions on our bodies, and such interaction between objects and humans have naturally molded into our brains to facilitate our understandings of the world. These perceptions are everywhere in the air, and they get into everything, yet they are transparent and elusive.
Therefore, what I am trying to do is to visualize such elusiveness. Through the structural change of my thoughts, I bring together natural substances, manmade objects, digital images, and the techniques involved to the same discussion table, stirring the audiences by examining all of these objects together with the external, objective facts as well as the internal, subjective cognition found in the progressing human society. By doing so, I can contemplate on time, space, and human existence and introduce them to this exhibition.
