1902年臺南縣廳為了紀念北白川宮能久親王，於北白川宮殿下御遺跡旁成立臺南州立教育博物館，太平洋戰爭期間，因為美軍的轟炸博物館全毀，遺留下來的館藏一部分移至臺南二中，一部分移至臺南大學，而安置於臺南大學的標本並沒有公開展示，也甚少作為教學示範用途，僅塵封於一間狹小的研究室中，本次展覽展出的兩件作品《不在研究室的標本》與《在海拔2000公尺震動》分別透過靈通與動物溝通等神秘學的方式，讓這些在記錄上佚失、不被重視的標本得以顯現，尋覓出兩條分別關於自然與歷史的路徑，同時這兩件作品也透過神秘學產生隱晦的因果關係，成為潛伏於科學之中的命定狀態。

2021 TSAI Pou-Ching Solo Exhibition
In 1902, in order to commemorate Prince Kitashirakawa Yoshihisa, the Tainan County Government established the Tainan Education Museum besides the Ruins of Prince Kitashirakawa, later during the Pacific War period, the U.S. army bombed the museum and destroyed it, which lead to part of the remaining collection being moved to the National Tainan Second Senior High School, and the rest were housed in the National University of Tainan. However, those specimens settled in the university have never been shown to the public and even rarely been used for demonstration teaching, while being sealed in a tiny laboratory. In this exhibition, the two works: The Absence of the Specimen and Reverberations at Altitude 2000, employs means of occult such as spiritual communication and animal communication to reveal the specimens that were lost in the records and ignored, and that leads those undervalued objects finding the paths of natural science and history. Meanwhile, these two works also ambiguously connect to each other in a mystical practice, which become a condition of karma underlying in science.
