闇黑萬花筒與咖啡廳生物

闇黑萬花筒意指隱藏的影響力逐漸積累、混合、再混合，進而形塑個體的人格特質；基因、社會與政治結構、個體經驗、物理定律、和諸多其他因素似乎都有助於形成我們都會經驗到的「我」這個綜合體。此展覽藉由數個大型木刻版畫、與源自 Sunderland木刻版圖像小說系列的大型版畫拼貼，來探討這個幽微的現象。同時，畫廊後方有漫遊的咖啡廳生物，這是一個由小型作品組成的野生動物園，頌揚我們的動物親屬，並與闇黑萬花筒所探索的廣闊深淵形成對比。

Dark Kaleido ＆ Cafe Creatures

Dark Kaleido refers to the accumulation of hidden influences that accrue, mix, and remix to form the individual personality. Genetics, social and political structures, individual experiences, the underlying laws of physics, and many other factors all seem to contribute to form the complex I we all experience. This mysterious phenomenon is explored through several large woodcuts and a massive collage of prints from the Sunderland woodcut graphic novel series. Meanwhile, behind the gallery roam the Cafe Creatures, a menagerie of small works celebrating our animal kin and providing a contrast to the vast abyss explored in Dark Kaleido
