【展覽論述】
創作是一條修行之路，
是精神與真、善、美的相遇，
自我心靈的昇華。
攝影，讓我從時間的截點中嗅到記憶的痕跡，而創作，讓我將藝術的思維，以影像的形式將記憶轉化，投入情感與詩意。十多年來，以微人類學視角，透過體內藝術細胞的敏感與直觀，親身感測文化領域下的藝術萬象；透過觀景窗，我尋找都市人文的脈絡，亦在山野林間擷取自然景象的再現；本著對繪畫的熱情不滅，將鏡頭當成畫筆，經由手機軟體調色，於每日通勤搭乘捷運的過程中進行影像創作，地底下33公尺的捷運車廂內成為我自身藝術魂與意識靈交會的場域。乃地方與非地方，交互糾結與滲透；透過觀看位移及恣意的想像，將意識導向超現代性，賦予影像作品新生命。

Dan Wu is a cultural worker.
Wu has been creating digital imagery as an artistic expression for more than ten years aside from her work.
She has received many awards from photography competitions including the International Photography Awards (IPA), Prix de la Photographie, Paris (PX3), Tokyo International Foto Awards (TIFA), and iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAWARDS), among others.
In 2019, Wu was awarded Gold in Fine Art and Fine Art Photographer of the Year for the Moscow International Foto Awards (MIFA). Her work was exhibited concurrently at the Moscow Photocenter.

Creation is a path of spiritual practice; a meeting of the mind, truth, goodness and beauty, a sublimation of the soul.
Photography allows me to savor traces of memory in a section of time, while creating enables me to consider art and transform memories through imagery, with the inclusion of emotion and poetry. Through the viewfinder, I scour the context of urban humanity, and reproduce natural landscapes in mountains and forests. With a fervent passion for painting, I regard the lens as a paintbrush, adjusting color with phone applications, working on post-production during my daily commute on the Taipei Metro. The 33 meters underground metro carriage is a place where art and consciousness meet.
In this non-place, I enter a world of pure whimsy when I put on my headphones and tune into music, as though enjoying the beauty of creation in an independent darkroom. Using digital technology, images from the ground are transmitted by post-production, establishing another connection with the world. It is place and non-place, intertwined and infiltrated, and through displacement and fortuitous imagination, consciousness leads to so-called hyper-modernity, giving new life to the work. I hope that with this portfolio, the images will return to the beholder’s vision, allowing their cultural experience to entwine and cast upon their psyche, framing a unique point of view.
