展覽理念｜
童話故事的開頭總是這麼說的：「從前，從前⋯⋯」。於是，從接下來的一月起，藍瓦空間要進入一個奇幻的時空。
居住台灣的藝術家Kevin Woodson將在藍瓦空間呈現全新的作品與多媒材裝置，引領觀眾進入華麗的想像與夢境。
每當Kevin在戶外寫生時，人們總是會說他彷彿在「通靈」那些花朵。Kevin則說，他只是在日復一日百次千次的描繪中，感知了花的秘密。花存在於一個獨特的宇宙，那裡的生命都如同精靈般閃耀著光輝。
他敞開自我，彷彿花間的精靈與靈感都可以引導他，創作出這些精采的作品。大自然的奧秘與靈感啟發的他雙手，讓他的作品如同夢境裡的故事與傳說。
我們都聽過許多奇幻故事：趕赴宮廷舞會的年輕男女、穿上魔法銀鞋飛往翡翠城、水簾洞瀑布翻滾的美猴王。「仙島故事」為您呈現另一種視角的島嶼靈光。
2023新年初始，歡迎前來藍瓦空間，體驗探索作品中流洩的聲光舞步，泅泳於森林深處，觸動內心的奧秘靈感。
倘若這些靈感進入您的生命又會是如何呢？料理一頓豐盛的晚餐？工作上的新點子？徜徉於大海？探險山林？也許您會發現更多生活的歡愉。

In the best fairy tales, the story begins with the words ‘Once upon a time.’ This January at Living Lab Gallery, it will be one of those special, magical times.
Taiwan-based artist Kevin Woodson will enchant the gallery with new paintings and paper sculptures in an installation designed to transport you to the most fantastic reaches of your imagination and dreams.
Throughout his lifetime of painting, many people have commented that Kevin ‘channels’ flowers as he sits outdoors in the garden with his paint and paintbrush. The truth is that Kevin has painted thousands and thousands of flowers and learned their deepest secrets. Flowers exist in a unique universe where great forms and magical beings radiate glory like awesome fairies.
To make this show unforgettable, Kevin allowed himself to open up as if the fairies and magic of the garden were flowing into this world and guiding his work. He channeled the most magical and fantastic mysteries of the gardens, as if fairies were directing his hands, and designing artworks that could only exist in stories and dreams.
We all know that when fairies work their magic, young dreamers go to the ball, magic shoes fly to the Emerald City, and immortal monkeys dance beyond the waterfall. A Taiwan Fairy Tale gives you a chance to see, feel, hear, and experience a story that takes place right here on this magical island.
Join us this January at Living Lab Gallery for an experience in art that reverberates with music, cascades with treasures, dances like a supplicant, and swims through deep forest pools, tantalizing you to open your own heart to magical stories and fairy tales.
After all, if you let your own fairies flow into your life, what would they guide you to do? What great feast would you cook tonight? What new innovations and boundless wonders would you create in your shop – whether you’re fabricating microchips or cobbling shoes? What oceans would you swim? What mountains would you climb? What happiness would you find in your own heart?
