機緣下聽聞這座木造老房遭逢白蟻侵蝕的故事，成為了此次創作的起點。
在現代光鮮的生活表層下，仍有肉眼不可見的細小事物在隙縫中靜靜活動著，就像沈睡在城市地底的小河、怎麼遠眺也望不見的大山、倒臥在無人森林的老樹。
總在不經意時想起這些日常裡的風吹草動，歷經反覆的惦記，最後決定把牠們都收進容許雜質流動的隙縫裡。
The inspiration of this creation starts from the story of the old wooden house that was infested with termites. Beneath the surface of modern life, there are still small things that cannot be seen by the naked eye, such as the small river that sleeps under the city, the mountain that cannot be seen from afar, or the old tree that lies down in the uninhabited forest.
I always think of these daily glimpses and after repeatedly thinking about them, I decided to collect them all into the crevices for impurity to flow.

葉馥瑜 ∣ 纖維藝術創作者
1991年出生屏東，目前生活創作於台北。 原本是文案出身，2017年前往瑞典參與藝術駐村時，學習擁抱了人生第一棵樹，回台灣後開始認真注意身邊的溪流與樹木， 好奇大部分蝸居都市的人們，還可以用什麼角度看待日常裡的風吹草動。
