一直畫畫，也是裝幀設計師。
疫情讓地球停了幾圈，
有些人被落下，有些人失去了嗅覺。
嗅覺、一種味道。
我喜歡聞與摸
-
聞咖啡豆的香味、聞麻辣鍋的嗆氣還有臭豆腐的朽;
摸紙張的觸感、摸時間的紋路。
我們有多久沒有和朋友相聚?
這次除了手繪與壓克力，
也嘗試了拼貼的手法，
把舊和新的技法重新組合。
就像組合這個新的世界。
嗅覺和觸覺一樣，聞過就不會忘記，
讓我們找回心中的氣味吧!

Bianco Tsai is a prolific illustration artist and a graphic designer from Taiwan. It is a pleasure to invite her to exhibit some of her newest works in Somewhere Cafe. In May, she happened to be focusing on a series of food related works utilising cafe grinds and coffee spills, and in Somewhere Cafe, we have coffee, of course, so you must know how excited we were when she showed us the works!

She used acrylic, coffee, paper collage etc and made twenty artworks to promote our senses of smell and taste. The works featured a bowl of udon noodles, traditional coffee pot, metal tea cups from the 1950s, etc. Upon standing in front of each artwork, the specific smell and taste related to the object became awaken, memories related to the senses became clear as well, it is not everyday that we get to experience art like this.
