「我們就是那些問題，所以我們正在解決自己。」

第一次為作品命名時，腦海裡浮現「方法」一詞。當時在不同創作材料之間，總是在想著如何找出駕馭的方法，方法有時是重重磨難；有時是以錯誤的面貌成就意外。以方法解決問題，像是一項自然定律，直到我看到網路上這段文字，才意識到其中的謬誤。——方法的概念預設了兩者相對的位置，當它越有效率，問題就越難以脫身。

我陸續展開對「作為……的能力」的懷疑與蒐集。雖然稱為方法，不如說是憑藉這份無能為力，去迫近存在的陌生。這些對象也許失去了構成自身意義的某一環節，卻因為功能的缺憾，在矛盾中獲得了新的位置。這次展覽搜集了過去我以方法為題的作品，各種「這樣的我」與相應對話的回音，取名為《方法集》。

When I was naming the work, the word “method” first popped up in mind. At that time, I was working on various creative materials, and was constantly looking for a better way to work things out. Sometimes there were turns and turmoils in trials and errors. Yet at times the errors turned out to be pleasant surprises. Solving the problems with different methods was almost like a natural law for me. I didn’t realize the fallacy in it until I read the following perception online– The idea of method pre-established oppositions; the more effective a method is, the harder it gets to walk away from the real problem.

From there, I started questioning “the ability to be…,” and began collecting relative information regarding the concept. Although the exhibition is called “Methods,” there lies a helplessness of enforcing the presence of a strange approach. These subjects may have lost certain elements that build into individual identities. With certain loss in functions, the subjects found a new place to be in the paradox. This exhibition contains a collection of my works with “method” as the collective thesis. Multiple dialogues echo and correspond to “the ways I am” as I entitled the exhibition “Methods.”
