植體文明：羅本創作個展


如果在另一個世界，人類並未發展為現今的模樣，取而代之的是植物衍生出獨特造型與文明，會是什麼奇幻光景？
當代藝術家羅本擅長結合陶藝經驗、對植物的歡察與喜愛，完美融合自然元素、陶瓷藝術，以及潮玩設計，創作具完整世界觀的植栽陶藝系列作品。本次《植體文明：羅本創作個展》，他穿梭平面與立體，帶領觀者逐步探索其於作品中表露的細膩情緒，發掘不同植物角色的設計巧思，以及彼此間相互交錯的關係，更揭開其內心構築的奇想烏托邦之全貌。
從象牙宮、山烏龜，到龜甲牡丹、蓬萊島⋯⋯，羅本將塊根、仙人掌等旱地植物，化為一個個擁有鮮明個性的角色，時而如植物般群生、綴化，時而擁有如人類般的思想與情感。作品中，不僅藉骷髏、花朵等細節刻畫性格，更在陶瓷質地與釉色的變化中，隱晦傳達角色情緒，賦予植物豐富迷人的情感變化。邀請你，一同進入此擁有植體文明的新世界，感受陶塑植栽與自然的共生共癒。

羅本黃
羅本黃，本名黃靖斌，2018 年成立以「植物文化」為主要題材的五人團隊的陶作坊 —— 羅本製所。作品由初期的盆器設計，延伸至當前側重的雕塑藝術，近年致力於與跨領域創作者合作，期待藉由更多樣媒材與面向的植栽陶藝作品，創造理想的「植感」生活。
其植物雕塑系列系列，現可分為野獸化與文明化，持續以不同面貌與風格的作品，具象其對於植物世界的奇想。曾於台北潮流植物店 0343 Conservatory、香港海港城美術館舉辦展覽，亦曾與日本植物單位 KINOCO、香港植物潮流單位 Plants of gods、POH POH STUDIO、知名質感選物品牌 plain-me 以及曉岱瓷坊聯名合作。


Civilization of Plants：Robin Huang Solo Exhibition

If in another world, humans didn＆#039;t evolve into our current form, but instead, plants developed unique shapes and civilizations, what would this fantastical scene be like?
Contemporary artist Robin Huang excels at combining his ceramic art expertise with his fascination for plants. He seamlessly integrates natural elements, ceramic art, and art toys to create a series of plant-based ceramic artworks that possess a complete worldview. In "Civilization of Plants," he navigates between drawing and sculpture, guiding viewers to progressively explore the intricate emotions conveyed in his works. This exploration unveils the ideas behind various plant characters and their intertwined relationships, ultimately revealing the entirety of the whimsical utopia he has constructed within his imagination.
Robin Huang transforms arid land plants such as Pachypodium gracilius, Stephania erecta, Ariocarpus fissuratus, and Euphorbia decidua into distinct characters, each possessing vivid personalities. They alternately thrive in plant-like cluster and cristation, while also embodying human-like thoughts and emotions. In his works, personalities aren＆#039;t only depicted through details like skulls and blossoms, but also conveyed subtly through shifts in ceramic texture and glaze colors, bestowing captivating emotional fluctuations upon plants. You are welcomed to enter this new world of botanical civilization, experiencing the symbiotic healing of ceramic-sculpted flora and nature.

Robin Huang, Jingbin Huang, established the ceramics workshop "Robin Ceramic Studio" in 2018, which is a team of five individuals focused on the theme of plant culture. The works have evolved from initial pot design to a current emphasis on sculptural art. In recent years, he has been dedicated to collaborations with creators from various fields, aiming to create a diverse range of plant-based ceramic artworks using different materials and perspectives. This endeavor is aimed at cultivating an ideal plant-inspired lifestyle.
Robin’s series of plant sculptures can now be categorized into two distinct styles: "Beastification" and "Civilization," each continuing to embody his fantastical imagination of the plant world through different facets and aesthetics. He has exhibited his works at Taipei＆#039;s trendsetting plant store, 0343 Conservatory, as well as at the Gallery by the Harbour in Hong Kong. He has also collaborated with KINOCO, Plants of Gods, POH POH STUDIO, plain-me, and SHIAUDAI ceramics studio.
