風光:蔡宗隆雕塑個展

台灣陶藝家蔡宗隆透過創作訴說自身對「動」與「靜」的感知，本次展覽將呈現〈向光〉、〈風景〉、〈朵〉等橫跨其不同創作階段的豐富系列作品。層層交疊形成的空間，以及看似寧靜的表面，蘊含著釉料的流動、有機體的茁長與綻放，以及物體的靜態瞬間，令作品彷彿得以時而隨時間與光影變換迷人姿態，時而又呈現獨特的幽暗與靜謐。
蔡宗隆捕捉植物向光恣意伸展生長的樣貌，並揉合抽象語彙，將其化作莖、葉、花、果實及種子；他也創造紙團隨機成形的剎那，將記憶與情緒揉捏包裹其中，打造如陶瓷般恆久的山水風景，趣味地對比片刻和永恆。透過形塑律動與凝滯，他從形體與質感變化，開拓陶瓷的更多可能，彰顯媒材的純粹與永恆之美。

蔡宗隆
1974年生，畢業於國立台北藝術大學美術創作研究所，現任教於國立台北藝術大學。擅長打造抽象雕塑，於樸實溫潤的作品裡，保存火的溫度與能量。從薄殼造形與柴燒的表現形式開始，建立個人觀點與陶瓷語彙，作品跳脫陶瓷的傳統樣貌，於多層次空間的作品中，呈現現代雕塑的造形意象。
屢次於台灣、韓國、日本等地 之陶藝大展獲獎，亦致力於柴燒之推展，2007年於國立台北藝術大學設置柴窯。作品獲澳洲白兔美術館、國立歷史博物館、國立台灣工藝研究發展中心、苗栗縣 文化局，以及鶯歌陶瓷博物館典藏。

Scenery and Sunward: Zung Lung Tsai Solo Exhibition

Taiwanese ceramic artist Zung Lung Tsai expresses his perception of dynamic and static through his creations. This exhibition will showcase a diverse series of works spanning different stages of his creative journey, including "Phototropism," "Landscape," and "Blossoms." The layered spaces and seemingly tranquil surfaces harbor the flowing glazes, organic growth, and blossoming of forms, as well as moments of stillness, imbuing the artworks with a captivating fluctuation of light and shadow over time. They alternately present unique shades of darkness and tranquility.
He captures the appearance of plants stretching and growing towards light, integrating abstract presentation styles to transform them into stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds. He also creates moments of spontaneous formation with paper, kneading memories and emotions into them, crafting landscapes akin to ceramics, enduring and timeless, playfully contrasting the transient with the eternal. Through shaping both dynamism and stasis, he explores further possibilities of ceramics by varying forms and textures, highlighting the pure and timeless beauty of the medium.

Zung Lung Tsai
Zung Lung Tsai was born in 1974 and graduated from the Graduate Institute of Plastic Arts at National Taipei University of the Arts. He specializes in creating abstract sculptures, preserving the warmth and energy of fire within the simple and warm creations. Starting from thin-shell formations and the expression of wood firing, he has established his own perspective and narrative style in ceramics. His works break away from the traditional appearance of ceramics, presenting the imagery of modern sculpture within multi-layered spaces.
His works have repeatedly won awards at ceramic art exhibitions in Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, and other places. In addition to his creative endeavors, he has also been dedicated to promoting wood firing. In 2007, he even established a wood kiln at the National Taipei University of the Arts. His works are collected by institutions such as the White Rabbit Gallery in Australia, the National Museum of History, the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Miaoli County, and the Yingge Ceramics Museum.
