慢走，是離別之際的餞別語，也是面對分離時希冀對方放慢腳步的不捨與挽留。

藝術家Catherine Wang的繪畫創作以日常散步時拍攝的照片作為基底，透過對於自然風景的描繪探索在親密關係中人與人之間流動的情感，
從自身與所愛之人互動中的誤解與衝突，見得悲愴、厭惡、慾望、屈從和奉獻等多種面向，呈現人世裡存於牽繫與分捨間細膩的真情。

Catherine Wang實驗性地運用光線、顏色、痕跡創作(mark-making)等技法，展示出比以往作品更為陰鬱的色調和戲劇化的光影，營造出強烈的情感力度。以隨興舒展的筆觸改變構圖與景觀、取代對於自然的忠實再現，Catherine Wang的創作捕捉了我們所深識之人那不為所知，也不可知曉的面貌。

Catherine Wang(1998年生於加利福尼亞州萊克伍德）是一位現居於洛杉磯的畫家。她的創作以南加州的風景為中心，作為華裔移民的孩子，她對於什麼使一個地方成為家的問題深感興趣，並通過對周圍自然環境的細緻觀察尋求歸屬感。Catherine Wang擁有史丹佛大學的文學和理學學士學位，目前正在加州藝術學院攻讀藝術碩士學位。
Catherine Wang (b. 1998, Lakewood, CA) is a painter currently based in Los Angeles. Her practice centers around the Southern California landscape. As a child of Chinese immigrants, she is deeply interested in what makes a place home and seeks a sense of belonging through studied appreciation of the natural environment around her. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree from Stanford University and is currently studying in the Art MFA program at the California Institute of the Arts.
