【焱山之城｜引爆火山工程個展】

「引爆火山工程」團隊近年來透過創作、研究、講演、書寫和研討會的參與，進行藝術展覽、工作坊及論文的發表與展示；並透過調研隊的組織、實地踏查與行動研究，聚焦於北臺灣大屯火山群至北海岸的基隆海底火山群，探索圍繞火山群周邊的相關科學與非科學知識。此次展覽「焱山之城」作為階段性的展演，既指向當前大臺北都會區的行政區劃之內，存在著大屯火山群及其岩漿庫，地熱、地震與溫泉等火山活動現象。也透過在地觀點、飛碟學、火山學與歷史學等多重的敘事角度，探問此一區域的火山地質活動、史料文獻、不明飛行物目擊事件、地景遺跡與魔神仔傳聞之間的深層聯繫。藉以凝聚各種異質知識於「火山」這一地理場域的再形塑，編織一種近未來的科幻敘事。

In recent years, the " Engineering of Volcano Detonating " team has been actively engaging in artistic exhibitions, workshops, and the publication of papers through various forms of creative work, research, lectures, writings, and participation in seminars. The team also organizes research expeditions and conducts fieldwork, focusing on the Datun Volcano Group in northern Taiwan and the Keelung submarine volcanoes off the north coast. Their work examines both scientific and non-scientific knowledge related to these volcanic areas. This exhibition, The City on Volcano, marks a milestone for the team, highlighting the Datun Volcano Group and its magma chamber situated within the administrative boundaries of the Taipei metropolitan area. It examines how volcanic phenomena such as geothermal activity, earthquakes, and hot springs intersect with urban life. By weaving together narratives from local perspectives, ufology, volcanology, and historiography, the exhibition explores the deep connections between volcanic geological activity, historical documents, UFO sightings, landscape relics, and local legends of supernatural beings. The aim is to reshape the "volcano" as a geographic site, merging diverse bodies of knowledge to craft a near-future science fiction narrative.
