台北尊彩藝術中心由負責人余彥良先生創立於1993年；藝術中心獨棟位於台北市區，展覽館空間三個樓層共約2000平方米，每個月展出不同的主題展覽。自創立以來，致力於推廣台灣近現代、當代藝術的展覽與學術研究，纍積多年舉辦台灣近現代代表性藝術家陳澄波、廖繼春、楊三郎、陳植棋、李梅樹、金潤作、蒲添生等重要大型回顧展；以此奠定私人畫廊建立於台灣藝術學院之重要地位;與陳澄波文化基金會合作各項展覽已18年之久，2012至2013年，以協辦單位於台北市立美術館、高雄市立美術館等展出大型回顧展，2014年「澄海波瀾─陳澄波百二誕辰東亞巡迴大展」，由台灣台南出發，至北京中國美術館、上海中華宮藝術館、東京藝術大學大學美術館，終站回到台北故宮博物院「藏鋒」。

2015年3月將於Art Basel HK 展出台灣最具代表性的藝術家—陳澄波，生於1895年，是台灣二次大戰前、日治時期藝術史上具有重大影響力的油畫藝術家，他的一生縱貫台灣、東京和上海的現代藝術風潮，繪畫風格融合各文化呈現獨一無二的藝術脈絡，在現代中國美術史上具有舉足輕重的代表性。他的畫中洋溢著對故鄉及時代的熱情與感染力，其精彩豐富的一生，反映台灣藝術史在不同政權統治下所經歷的曲折波濤；同時也是近代東亞美術現代化過程的歷史縮影。

此次展出作品分為三時期：

東京時期。1929畢業於東京美術學校，1926年成為第一位入選日本帝國美術展覽（簡稱「帝展」）的台籍藝術家；1932年獲「台展」無鑑查展出資格。《上野公園（二）》、《秋之博物館》為展示早期遠赴日本東京美術學校時所繪製充滿豐富情感的風景圖畫。

上海時期。1929-1933年旅居上海擔任多所美術學院的教職及畫會評審，上海時期參與第一屆全國美術展覽與「決瀾社」的發起與籌備。《上海路橋》、《梅園》為展示旅居上海時，趨於成熟的中西融合風格和西方前衛藝術思潮之探索，顯現對「中國特色」或「東方化」的用心追求，也讓油彩有著水墨般的趣味。

台灣鄉土時期。1933年因「上海128戰爭」返回台灣，與同期台灣藝術家創立「赤島社」與「台陽美術協會」等美術運動團體，成為台灣近現代藝術史上極具重量級畫家。《西薈芳》、《琳瑯山閤》為展示南國濃烈色彩的台灣景色，富有人情味和生命力；此時期作品被視為陳澄波成熟的代表時期。

尊彩藝術中心將藉由陳澄波於香港巴塞爾（Art Basel HK） 的參展，向亞洲介紹台灣的近現代藝術歷程，同時，也期待全球能關注亞洲各國的藝術成果與多元豐富的藝術風格。


Liang Gallery was founded in 1993 by Yu Yen-Liang. It is located in Taipei, in a three-story building up to almost 2000 square meters. Since its founding, it has been committed to promoting Taiwanese modern and contemporary art, and has held many large-scale retrospective exhibitions of artists, including Chen Cheng-po, Liao Chi-chun, Yang San-lang, Li Mei-shu, and Pu Tien-sheng. Liang Gallery has been collaborating with the Chen Cheng-po Cultural Foundation for over eighteen years. In 2014, it co-hosted the “Surging Waves – Chen Cheng-Po’s 120th Birthday Anniversary Touring Exhibition”. This touring exhibition started in Tainan, moved to Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, and is followed by a grand final exhibition “Hidden Talent” at the National Palace Museum in Taipei.

Liang Gallery will exhibit works of Chen Cheng-po (1895-1947) who holds a significant importance in the history of Taiwanese art. Throughout his life, he was involved in modern art activities in Taiwan, Tokyo and Shanghai. His paintings are filled with the passion and appealing feelings for his homeland.

The exhibited works are divided into three periods:

Tokyo Period. Chen Cheng-po completed his graduate studies at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1929. He was the first Taiwanese painter to be selected into the Imperial Art Exhibition of Japan in 1926. In 1932, he was also included in Taiwan Art Exhibition. Ueno Park (2) and Museum in Autumn were painted during the early period at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts, and depicted rich emotional landscapes.

Shanghai Period. During 1929-1933, he lived in Shanghai teaching at various fine art schools and appraising works of art at art associations. He participated at the 1st China National Art Exhibition, and attended the preparation session of Juelan Society. Footbridge in Shanghai and Plum Garden reflect a combination of both Eastern and Western painting style. In these paintings, Chen intended to pursue “Chinese style” or “the Orient” and to apply Chinese-ink painting techniques in Western oil painting.

Taiwan Period. After the January 28 Incident in Shanghai, Chen Cheng-po returned to Taiwan. He participated in the founding of the Chidao Association and the Tai-Yang Art Society, thus becoming an influential artist in the history of modern art in Taiwan. West Huifang and Linglang Mountain reveal the intense colors of the Southern Taiwan landscape, and are rich of compassion and vitality. These art works are considered as the most mature artistic expressions of Chen Cheng-po.
