關於本次展名:
「艹」 為偏旁同草字，代表了生命力如草般的生生不息，「明」可以為日月表示時間的流轉、也可以為陰陽，象徵蘇信義與陳豔淑老師的夫妻鶼鰈情深，在創作的道路上的相互輝映；垂直組合後更可以視為「萌」為初生之芽，有如初生般的歡欣顫動。
2019春節完首展，帶來生機蓬勃的希望與展露。

蘇信義老師 --「大歷史」拋開不理，堅持自己「小歷史」的重建。自鄉土題材到探討高雄的工業文明，縱觀蘇信義的創作議題總帶著大環境的反思，在自然的狀態中，無論是色彩的探究，材料本身或現成物的創作;創作變成簡單的事，無罣礙，信手拈來就是了。

陳豔淑老師 --更在意日常生活中每一幅看得見的畫面，作品中以一張張接續不斷的線條構成，一步一腳印，呈述著走路的心境，畫面中的橢圓形是卵，也是大地的象徵，是旅行於大地的書寫，藝術即生活，美就是自己。

兩者看似獨立卻又相互輝映的藝術家，無論向外還是往內追尋，都自成一個融合的互補圓滿。


About the exhibition
"艹" is a radical of a character that represents the vitality like grass. "明" is a character which can be divided into two radicals. One represents the sun and another represents the moon to express the passage of time. And it can also be yin and yang. to symbolize the relationship between Su Hsin-Yi and Cheng Yen-Shu and adds each other’s splendor in the art field. With the vertical combination, it can be regarded as "萌" as the bud of birth, as the sensation of joy in the beginning.
The first exhibition of 2019 brings hope and vitality to you.
