In Bhutan, where Tantric Buddhism is devoutly practiced, people are surrounded by and are deeply familiar with formulaic Buddhist art in their daily lives. Tintin challenges this norm, believing that excessive familiarity with traditional Buddhist imagery can hinder a deeper understanding of its core teachings.
Tintin's distinctive creations lie in his fusion of modern art forms to explore the concepts of self and non-self, using art as a means to delve into the journey of life and the experience of emotions. Tintin's art has garnered international recognition, having been invited to participate in prestigious exhibitions such as the Florence Biennale in Italy (2019), the 5th Bangkok Triennale International Print and Drawing Exhibition (2019), the 18th Asian Art Biennale in Bangladesh (2018), and the 5th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale in Japan (2014). He has also held solo exhibitions in Bhutan and Taiwan, establishing himself as one of Bhutan's most prominent contemporary artists.
