賈恩卡洛·東諾尼的藝術作為二戰時期的一部分,如同一個尚未被發覺的寶箱,藏著來自「1932」的藝術瑰寶。
「藝術是時代的鏡子」,雖然它未必全然反射出整個時代的各種現象。但是,它或多或少地能夠呈現出時代的某種縮影,古往今來許多能夠被稱為經典的藝術作品,往往因為鮮明的時代特徵,反而擁有了超越時代的永恆魅力,藝術作品的時代特徵滲透在藝術語言、創作觀念、造型圖示等多方面。而賈恩卡洛·東諾尼的作品與理念,正式在那剛將擺脫傳統藝術束縛,以及二戰後百花齊放的藝術思潮中誕生。
Giancarlo Tognoni was an Italian painter, engraver and sculptor. He was born in Pisa, continuing his studies in Florence. Towards the end of the 1950s, he lived for some time in Paris, where he met Alberto Magnelli and Gino Severini. In Paris, he approaches sign and material painting. At the beginning of the 1960s, Giancarlo Tognoni moved to Milan and began to attend the artistic circles of the city.
He was fascinated by the beauty of nature. A meticulous study of details which Giancarlo Tognoni with his history and abilities enriches abstractionism in a unique way that he only has been able to grasp and express. He had his vision and took inspiration in search of an abstract expression of it. Giancarlo Tognoni considered the abstract is a reality dimension. It represents those intangible and indescribable aspects of the image, and this is a new way to express the infinite beauty of nature, which is the reason that makes his painting becomes important.
