The Four Friends are a very common and popular motif in Bhutan. The represent harmony- the story of the four friends tells us how each used their skill to plant and nurture a tree, and finally access the fruit of the tree. Beyond harmony in our daily lives, the four friends have a religious meaning, symboling interdependence and the path to enlightenment.
