雙S形龍鳳穀紋玉珮: 戰國時期 和闐青白玉質

龍.鱗蟲之長。能幽能明，能細能巨，能短能長。春分而登天、秋分而潜淵。

Dragon is the most sacred in the type of Mythical Animals. Its body is unpredictable which can be small or huge; short or long. It rises to the sky in spring and hides in the abyss when the autumnal equinox comes.

初學記引淮南子；夫蛟龍，伏潜於川，而卵剖於陵，其雄鳴上風，其雌鳴下風而化者，形精之至也，人不見龍之飛舉而能高者，風雨奉之也。

"Huainazi"form The Primary Anthology said:

Joao Long, lurked in the sea, and hatched eggs in the mausoleum, male above and female below. Growing up into a dragon shape shows its essence. People see the Dragon soaring in the sky, with the ability to control the wind and rain.

從以上記載可以瞭解，龍在中華文明、中國人的想像中是變幻莫測的動物。它能巨，能細，能短、又能長，能為上、能為下，又沒有一定的棲息之所，春天的時候騰登上天，秋分來時則潜伏於淵中，幻化萬千。

From the above records, it can be seen that the dragon is an unpredictable animal in the imagination of Chinese civilization. People think it can be huge, thin, short or long. It can be fly up and down.There is no certain habitat. In spring, it ascends to the sky, and in the autumn equinox, it lurks in the abyss and turns into a mirage.

在高古玉器之中，時常看到許許多多龍形的紋飾。我們從這些玉龍裏知道，龍是有角，有足，有騰雲駕霧，昇天入水的形態令人敬畏，所以常雕成落在人身或鳥身，用它的口作啃噬狀。

Among the high ancient jades, we often see many dragon shaped patterns. We know from these ancient jades that dragons have horns and feet. Most of them are rise to the cloud ,fly into the sky or into the water. It’s quite awe inspiring. Therefore, it is often carved to fall on the body of a person or a bird and use its mouth for nibbling.

收藏家的這塊雙S形龍鳳穀紋玉珮，橫長達到23.5公分，上下寬度達到8公分，厚度則有0.7公分這麼厚，堪稱巨大。

龍首作回望形態，身形流暢的橫S形再捲曲，龍身後半部拖尾回勾，尾端上方一鳳鳥站立，鳳首也作回望狀，與龍身處則有一環形如意裝飾，鳳尾上翹。

This double S-shaped dragon and Phoenix Valley jade which owns by collector with a width of 23.5cm, a length of 8cm and a thickness of 0.7cm, that can be called huge.

The head of the dragon looks back. The smooth transverse S-shaped body is curled again. The tail of the back part of the body is drawn back. A phoenix stands above the tail end. The head of the Phoenix looks back too. There is a circular Ruyi decoration with the body of the dragon. The tail of the Phoenix is cocked up.

玉珮上並無常見的珮飾型玉珮的孔洞，加之此珮尺寸巨大並不適合作人身佩戴，應屬王侯求雨祭祀之珮，或為宮廷府邸的觀賞玉件與收藏。

There is no common hole in this kind of jade Pei, and the size is huge, which is not suitable for wearing. It should be using by emperor to sacrifice, pray for rain or the ornamental jade and collection of the palace.

此藏品沁色以石灰沁伴隨些許硃砂、水銀沁，加之本身的玉質玉色，整塊玉珮氣勢流暢，宛轉奔流，動態優美，神韻渾然天成，充份展現了古代皇族權貴的超高審美，與古代匠人的超高藝術創作，誠屬難得。

The color of this collection is lime with some cinnabar and mercury. Itself’s quality and color showing the whole piece of jade is momentum and smooth; dynamic and beautiful, with natural charm. It fully shows the high level aesthetic of the ancient royalty, and the top artistic creation of the ancient craftsman, which is really rare.
