Wrathful Offerings are certain types of offerings which to an untrained eye appear impure or inappropriate- in this case, flesh, bones, blood, meat and alcohol. The teaching behind such offerings is to dispel our fixed views and associations of what is good and what is not in the material world. Everything is emptiness, therefore nothing is impure, in its truest sense. This painting depicting wrathful offerings in itself is an attempt to relay that teaching- that what we may consider ugly or morbid, can equally be a subject of art.
