In "Limit", I explore the concept of confinement and the ways in which we contort ourselves to fit into the societal structures around us. Through the use of abstract tigers, each one contorting their body to fit into a different shape that ultimately fills the space of the canvas, I depict the ways in which we are all constrained by the boundaries of our society. The tigers' bodies are fluid and dynamic, suggesting a willingness to adapt and change in order to fit into these predefined spaces. However, their contorted forms also convey a sense of strain and discomfort, reminding us of the toll that conformity can take on our bodies and minds.Through this painting, I encourage viewers to reflect on their own relationship to societal constraints and to consider the ways in which we can challenge these limitations in order to create a more expansive and inclusive world. "Limit" is a celebration of the human spirit and the endless potential for growth and transformation, even in the face of the most confining of spaces.
