My painting, titled "Grounded," features a majestic tiger looking longingly upward while its feet appear to be rooted underground, with its claws growing into the soil. The imagery is a playful exploration of the word "grounded," both in its physical state and as a highly valued trait in society.Through this piece I aim to convey the sense of stillness and rootedness embodied by the tiger, in contrast to the upward gaze suggests a longing for something beyond the physical grounding, a yearning for something greater.Simultaneously, the roots growing from the tiger's claws serve as a reminder of the importance of staying connected to the earth and to our own sense of groundedness. The painting invites viewers to reflect on the balance between striving for growth and staying rooted in our own sense of self and place.Ultimately my painting is a tribute to the balance of self- awareness, and the importance of staying grounded even as we reach for new heights
