在李建平的近期創作《蛋白質系列》和《異質系列》作品中，可發現不同層次的藍色背景，偏淡的藍、偏紫的藍、偏青的藍，構成系列作品的更豐富呈現，看似有統一性的表現下，也提供了不同的感受差異。失去溫度的畫面，引出冷冽氛圍，畫中的女人彷彿被抽空了靈魂，呈現出都會人（尤其是女性）或多或少隱含的真實面貌——一種對競爭壓力、物質慾望、感情波折等經驗的疲乏感。

Born in Hubei, China in 1968. Graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Hubei Academy of Fine Arts in 1993 where he continued his studies and received his MFA in oil painting in 1999.
In his recent creations the “Protein Series” and the “Heterogenous Series”, you’ll find different levels of the blue background, light blue background, purplish blue background, greenish blue background, making the series of works more plentiful in presentation, providing different impressions under seemingly unified expressions. They are heat-loosing pictures, generating a cold atmosphere, and the women in the pictures are seemingly souls being emptied out with manifestations of urbanites (particularly the feminine sex) or more or less a hidden complexion --- burnt out from competitive pressure, material desire and upset feelings.
