【漁網hî-bāng】Curatorial Statement
在老化的日子裡，生命自有不同的樣貌。對很多失智長輩的家人來說，共同的經驗就是長輩對近期的事感到混淆，但是對早年的生活經驗卻是如數家珍，有些失智長輩甚至終其一生都保有年少時的記憶或習慣。也因此藝術治療師經常透過節慶、常民美食、四季時序和花鳥走獸等主題，來喚起長輩的共鳴。
In their older years, life looks different for everyone. For many families of elderly people with dementia, a common experience is that while recent events may confuse them, they vividly remember their early life. This is why art therapists often use themes like festivals, traditional foods, the seasons, and animals to resonate with them.

本次展覽我們邀請了年輕時不曾畫畫，到了據點才愛上繪畫的順意阿嬤與鳳鳴阿公展出他們近年的創作。鳳鳴阿公是個充滿創意，喜歡將個人所見融入畫作的創作者。而順意阿嬤早從2018便積極參與藝術治療團體，至今已超過七個年頭。一年多來阿嬤的外型描繪能力已略微減退，有時治療師必須提供紙模輔具幫助阿嬤畫出外型，但令人感到驚喜的是阿嬤繪圖技巧和美感卻是持續的提升。
In this exhibition, we feature works from Shunyi Grandma and Fengming Grandpa, who fell in love with painting later in life. Fengming Grandpa creatively incorporates his observations into his paintings. Shunyi Grandma has been actively involved in art therapy groups since 2018. Although her ability to depict figures has declined, requiring templates from therapists, her artistic skills and aesthetics have continuously improved.

這次展覽的另一個亮點則是青銀共創。我們邀請長期關注高齡議題的織品藝術家陳彥瑋，他嘗試透過參與式創作的過程，帶領高齡者透過創作成為社會鏈結的一環。本展覽的主題作品「織.記憶的漁網」便是藝術家與南部失智據點長輩的共同創作。「漁網」的台語與「希望」同音，便是想透過「漁網」的意象，傳達連結跨世代情感的希望。據點長輩首先在藝術治療師的陪伴下完成「補破網」的團體畫，居住北部的陳彥瑋再透過視訊示範指導據點長輩們完成漁網的編織。因此作品不單是一幅跨世代也是跨區域的共同創作，更是藉著編織的一絲一縷，將年輕世代與失智長者交織在一起的藝術共融。
Another highlight of the exhibition is the collaboration between young and old. Textile artist Yanwei Chen works with the elderly, helping them become part of a societal connection through participatory art. The featured piece "Woven Nets of Memory" was co-created with elderly individuals from a southern dementia community center. In Taiwanese, the word for "fishing net" sounds like "hope," symbolizing the connection of emotions across generations. The artwork is a joint creation that not only spans generations but also regions, weaving together the lives of the young and old through the art of knitting.

我們「希望」透過此展覽讓大眾看見失智長輩一直以來被忽視的創作潛能，也希望能有更多像彥瑋的年輕藝術家，願意關注高齡長者的議題，藉由自己的藝術專長讓高齡者被不同的世代所認識、所看見。
We hope this exhibition will reveal the often-overlooked creative potential of the elderly with dementia and encourage more young artists like Yanwei to engage with issues affecting the elderly, using their artistic skills to help older adults be seen and recognized by different generations.

此外，來自高雄的攝影師林劭謙，也受邀以他細膩的鏡頭記錄下整個活動過程，為長輩們留下珍貴的影像。這些影像不僅成為這次活動的回憶，也將以影像的方式，讓我們得以分享這段動人的過程。我們「希望」透過此展覽讓大眾看見失智長輩一直以來被忽視的創作潛能，也希望能有更多年輕藝術家，願意關注高齡長者的議題，藉由自己的藝術專長讓高齡者被不同的世代所認識、所看見。
