潮時藝術不定時推出【Art Insight】閱讀一件作品系列展覽，呈現藝術家、觀眾與作品的深層對話。2024年12月，展出深受藏家喜愛的蔡芙郡代表作——《彎月 Still Alive - Crescent》。

延續《Still Alive》系列核心精神，作品探討狩獵動物的生命希望與再生，並持續挖掘「錦兔」展現生命蛻變的探索。在這幅作品中，錦兔形象更加精實，其背上的錦鯉紋理與抬起的前腳展現出蓄勢待發的動感姿態。畫面中的同伴石斑魚，以明亮水光映襯出豐盈的質感，章魚則以流暢多變的姿態環繞，三者共同構成一個「彎月」般的畫面結構，如新月啟動新生能量的詩意瞬間。

作品中大片紅色背景的留白，隔絕了自然環境的具體描寫，帶來一種既寫實又抽離的奇異感。紅色留白的處理不僅突顯了畫中生命的張力，也創造了東西方藝術語彙交融與對話。

《彎月 Still Alive - Crescent》最早於2018年蔡芙郡澳門個展中首次亮相，展出後即廣受好評，觀者讚歎錦兔全新姿態的力量與意境，更親切地稱其為「獨占鰲頭的錦兔」，體現了作品對觀者情感的深刻連結與共鳴。

LIN ART PROJECTS presents pop-up series Art Insight, providing close readings of past artworks and exhibitions, featuring rich dialogues between artists, the audience, and the art. In December 2024, we are spotlighting beloved artist Tsai Fu-Chun’s iconic piece Still Alive – Crescent.

Continuing the core themes of the Still Alive series, Crescent examines the will to live and rebirth of prey animals, picking up on Koirabbit’s themes of the transformations of life. In Crescent, the depiction of the koirabbit is further refined, with its koi patterning on its back and front paw raised as if to spring forward. Its companion, the grouper fish, adds to the visual interest of this piece with the slick reflections on its scales, while the octopus encircles them in a fluid, dynamic embrace. The trio form a crescent, evoking the poetic burst of life that a new moon brings.

The intended blank of the bright red background separates Crescent from concrete depictions of backgrounds in nature, introducing a realistic yet abstract sense of peculiarity. The blankness of the red background in the painting not only emphasizes the tension of life, but also blends Eastern and Western artistic conventions while creating a dialogue between them.

Still Alive – Crescent was first shown in Macau in Tsai Fu-Chun’s solo exhibition, receiving wide accolades, with the viewers praising the vitality and atmosphere of the koirabbit in its new form. It was affectionately nicknamed “the koirabbit at the top of the game”, underscoring how the piece has inspired profound resonance and connection with the viewers emotions.
