徐行：邵慈陶偶創作個展

人各有志，而花期將至。
「徐行」源自日語交通標誌，意味著減速慢行。藝術家邵慈的最新創作，深入探討了亞洲傳統社會對於學業成就、社會地位等「成功」標準的推崇，以及隨著科技發展，人們在比較壓力與自我懷疑中的心境。創作中，她敏銳地觀察網絡世界的浮華與人心脆弱的交織，因此在純真細膩的造型中，融入幽默與內省，透過一系列黑色幽默的可愛作品，呈現這些細微的內心狀態和情感衝突。
邵慈藉由創作陶偶角色的眉眼與神韻，勾畫出人們隱藏的情感與矛盾，而她在異地生活期間的沉澱與思考，更令作品突破傳統框架，富有創意與趣味，且耐人尋味。本次展出，她將在多樣的詼諧角色裡，以其獨特的方式向觀者訴說：當面對無盡競爭、自卑與否定的循環，或許唯有在「徐行」中，才能重新定義自我價值與生命的步伐，找回內心的平靜。

Amble：Shau Tzu Solo Exhibition
Each person has their own aspirations, and the season of blooming is approaching.
"Amble" is inspired by a Japanese traffic sign, meaning to slow down. Artist Shau Tzu’ s latest work explores the traditional Asian societal emphasis on academic achievement, social status, and the notion of "success," as well as the psychological pressures of comparison and self-doubt in the digital age. She keenly observes the intersection of the superficiality of the online world and the fragility of the human heart, blending humor and introspection into her delicate forms. Through a series of darkly humorous and charming pieces, she reveals subtle inner states and emotional conflicts.
Shau Tzu captures hidden emotions and contradictions in the expressions and gestures of her ceramic figures. Her experiences living abroad have deepened her work, allowing it to break free from traditional boundaries with creativity, playfulness, and depth. In this exhibition, through a variety of humorous characters, she conveys her unique perspective: in the face of endless competition, self-doubt, and cycles of negation, perhaps only through "Amble" can we redefine our self-worth and the pace of life, and rediscover inner peace.


邵慈

畢業於英國皇家藝術學院，先後於台灣、日本、英國攻讀工藝與陶瓷創作，擁有豐富參展及駐村經歷，與人相處、與自我對話的過程，確立其以陶偶為主的敘事風格，於異國的生活與求學歷程，更令其作品具有跳脫框架的趣味與創意。
邵慈愛好紀錄與寫作，關注社會議題，擅長將觀察與感觸寄情於陶偶創作，並思忖自身的陶藝家身份與價值，將對於「人」與「物」的想像投射於作品，透過不同故事與切角，建立與人、與社會之緊密連結。

Shau Tzu

Graduating from the Royal College of Art in the UK, Shau Tzu pursued studies in craft and ceramic arts in Taiwan, Japan, and the UK. With extensive exhibition and residency experience, her narrative style, centered around ceramic figures, emerged through the process of interacting with others and engaging in self-reflection. Her international experiences further imbue her work with creativity and a playful, boundary-defying quality.
Shau Tzu has a passion for documenting and writing, focusing on social issues. She excels at expressing her observations and emotions through ceramic figures, while contemplating her identity and value as a ceramic artist. She projects her imagination about "humans" and "objects" into her work, creating strong connections with people and society through diverse stories and perspectives.
