墨白的最新個展「落於山海的空隙」，是一場以空間為語言的詩性探索。藝術家藉由柱體與拱門、畫面與畫框、山與海、虛與實的交錯，捕捉了存在的微妙瞬間。墨白繪畫時將自我放到最小，作品沒有特意承載任何明確的訊息，希望觀者在其中找到和自身的共鳴，像是從縫隙尋找內心的安放之地。

黑白菱格的地板，白色的野獸，身披一襲星光織就的別緻華裳，輕巧地穿梭拱門間，幽然如夢；樹林蔓延，細枝縱橫，勾勒霧靄浮動的靜謐，荒草伏倒，光影錯落，流連環形框間的無聲詩行；動物沉眠，日月輕映牆上如記憶滲透的斑駁痕跡，溫柔中透著平靜與衰朽。

拱門、窗框、柱體與階梯構築起的空間，細看之下，流露出些許不合常規的趣味。這些結構並未囿於建築工法的理性邏輯，而是作為視線的引導與感受性的分隔，目光穿越結構引向深處，感官隨散逸的色跡幻變，窺探隱藏於其後的自然光景。

墨白延續她空間系列的創作，使用建築框線做為節氣遞嬗的敘事起點，書畫顏料在宣紙上暈染出自然和人造之間的平衡關係，彷彿山林河谷的迷濛霧氣，擴散在畫面與石膏塑形的畫框。每道筆觸和層層肌理、潤染的色料與水韻，皆以詩意回應時間與空間的對話，最終落於山海的空隙。

With her latest solo exhibition, "In the Void of Mountains and Seas", MoBai unveils a poetic exploration of spatial language. Through the interplay of columns and arches, paintings and frames, mountains and seas, form and emptiness, the artist captures the subtle moments of existence. In her practice, MoBai minimizes her own presence, allowing the works to carry no explicit messages, instead inviting viewers to discover their own resonance within the pieces, as though finding a resting place for their inner selves through the voids.

The black-and-white checkered floor, a white beast cloaked in an exquisite garment woven from starlight, moves gracefully through the arches, ethereal as a dream. The forest stretches, with slender branches crisscrossing to sketch the tranquility of drifting mist. Wild grass bows low, shadows intertwine, composing silent verses within circular frames. Animals slumber, while the sun and moon leave faint, mottled traces on the walls—reminiscent of memories seeping through, imbued with a delicate rhythm of serenity and decay.

MoBai builds her three-dimensional works with arches, window frames, columns, and the staircase, where upon closer inspection, a playful irregularity reveals itself. These structures, free from the rigid logic of architectural techniques, serve as guides for the gaze and partitions in perception. As the eye is drawn inward, it traverses these spaces, where pigments bloom into glimpses of natural scenery beyond.

Continuing her pursuit of spatial themes, MoBai employs architectural frameworks as a narrative starting point for the passage of seasons. Water-based pigments diffuse across rice paper, harmonizing the natural and the artificial, like the misty air of mountain forests and river valleys, expanding from the painted surface onto the plaster frame. Each brushstroke, texture, and layer of tinted pigment responds poetically to the dialogue between time and space, ultimately settling in the void of mountains and seas.
