「空間」是視覺表現的根本問題。物與名的斷裂產生的詩意與超現實感提示了看到物外之物的可能性。在這個過程中，「隱藏維度」經由藝術家的嫁接、暗喻、轉換......指涉而出。

「隱藏維度」為看到藝術新年度的首檔展覽。本展嘗試從三位藝術家的作品切入此一概念核心：張嘉珍以量化的形式詮釋抽象的距離，在其作品中度量人與人之間的關係；陳曉朋的抽象繪畫揭露自己生存在城市的感覺，發展出一種類地圖誌的佈署；齊簡以物質存在的方式製造空間的「轉換」，反射自我與他者在自我認同與全球化中的位置。藝術家創造個人視覺符號與形式發展的系統意義，觀看的測度卻是開放而充滿任意性。「隱藏維度」的產生，讓觀者得以在抽象空間中思考自身與存在的關聯，超越了場域的界線。

Dealing with space is a basic issue in visual expression. The alienation of a subject and its name makes it possible to see the extension of the subject in poetic and surreal way; hence, artists are able to disclose the hidden dimensions by using similes, transformation, or implants.

“Hidden Dimensions” is a 2017 debut exhibition at See ART, presenting artworks from three artists. CHANG Chia-Chen interprets the abstract distance by quantification, taking measurement of people’s relationship. CHEN Shiau-Peng’s abstract paintings allocate her affections and impressions to the city where she lives and works by mapping. CHI Chien transits the space with solid materials, locating where we are and who we are in global society. These artists create the hidden dimensions using visual vocabulary in their artistic lexicons and leave their works open to the audience. “Hidden Dimensions” invites its audience to ponder over existence and themselves in an abstract space which goes beyond the physical restriction.
