歷經長期籌畫，「羅展鵬—墨嵐」個展即將於6月17日正式和大家見面。羅展鵬曾提到，候孝賢在《悲情城市》忘情地投射對於土地和人民的情感是他慘綠年少中深刻且難抹滅的記憶。《悲情城市》的映演作為此生藝術家極為抒情一瞬，他日後的創作，自然可視為這份感性的延續，數十年不曾間斷，直到這次在大觀新近展出的水墨。
儘管與過去熟悉的油畫，例如「霧行者」系列不同，媒材上大異其趣，然正如羅展鵬本人所經驗的，「我卻在創作過程中與生長在這塊土地上的你我神交，站在作品前，那股陰鬱的氛圍幾乎溢出畫布之外，久久無法自己。」換言之，對羅展鵬來說，水墨已漸形成了他個人生命中另一種存在和延續。

After long-term preparation, the “Misty – Lo Chan- Peng’s solo exhibition” will soon say hello to everyone on 17th June. Lo Chan-Peng has said “ produced by Director Hou Hsiao-hsien (侯孝賢) who eagerly reflects his affection to people and this land is unforgettable memory in Chan-Peng’s youth. The moment that《A City of Sadness (悲情城市)》 was on release is the very lyric moment to Mr. Lo. It has heavily influenced Mr. Lo. His creations, around a decade afterward, could be viewed as the prolongation of this sensibility until this exhibition on DaGuan Gallery. Although the materials are extremely different from the previous art works such as “Wanderer in the Mist” series which people are familiar with, the connections between audiences and Mr. Lo is inseparable. Mr. Lo said “During my creating process, I meet people who grow up on this land. In front of these creations, the gloom overflows the canvas and overwhelms myself.” In other words, ink painting is another approach for his existence and prolongation.
