朝代畫廊向您宣布，我們將於3月28日至5月9日舉辦台灣藝術家王凱虹最新個展《女孩逃逸》，並於3月28日（六）當天舉行開幕茶會，十分歡迎您的蒞臨。此次個展將展出王凱虹2018~2020年架上作品，其中包含以布面壓克力、板上油畫，以及複合媒材的繪畫創作。

王凱虹擅長從自身視角切入，探討人與人之間及自身與社會的關係，從而思考權力支配的議題，這對她而言意味著生活即存在著一種微妙的緊繃狀態。她的作品畫面多以女性做為表現主體，求學期間的照相寫實油畫創作即展現了其技法功力，高雄駐村時期的作品充滿了藝術家想對觀眾訴說的情懷，她習慣將自己及身邊女性友人作為模特兒，以劇場式畫面呈現人體並強調其誇張的肢體動作，視覺上往往瀰漫些許的不穩定感，以此撥動著觀者心弦。

近年來王凱虹遷居台北，同時她開始思考與現實生活的共存方式，作品處理上亦轉為更成熟的佈局編排，藝術家彷彿是將夜晚中的夢境具體呈現，在既有社會框架之中尋找另一種可能的出口，也可說是種渴望從不安中逃離的自我表述。女孩與她的動物伙伴開始大量共同出現在畫面之中，加上溪畔、森林、彩虹等背景，藝術家以繽紛的元素，企圖讓作品營造出奇境漫遊般的氛圍。

藝術家畫筆下的「女孩」無論多麼謹慎地打造出屬於她的棲息地，因為得來不易，自然也擔心著是否會輕易瓦解，「好似生活只是一直是種『借來』的狀態。」王凱虹如此提到。也因此，女孩必須不斷逼迫自己離開原本的安逸圈，去尋找自己心目中真正理想的一畝田。然而，這終點似乎永無止盡，「不停地尋找是女孩對抗被支配的行動。看似被主宰也要主動進入未知的叢林，不被恐懼牽絆，反將這些不安的冒險變成了華麗又奇異的日常。」《女孩逃逸》看似為我們展現了藝術家的私密心靈，實為一名遊子在異鄉紅塵中的小窗幽記。

王凱虹1988年生於高雄，近期生活創作於台北，為國立屏東教育大學視覺藝術學系學士，國立高雄師範大學美術學系研究所創作組碩士，曾於國立中山大學哲學研究所研習進修，近年來除了藝術創作，亦跨足設計與教學領域。展覽經歷包括《擺花齊放─Flower Art藝術創作展》（伊通公園，台北，2019）、《與生物之間》（宛儒藝廊，台北，2019）、《我從未見過的霓虹森林》（一票人票畫空間，台北，2018）、《那個日常發生的夢都已經昇華》（名冠藝術館，新竹，2017）、《異漾眼光-駐村藝術家聯展》（台灣藝術股份有限公司，高雄，2016）、《私‧心戲》（拾光藝廊，彰化，2016）、《Young Art Taipei》（喜來登大飯店，台北，2015）、《當美術館走入圖書館：公共藝術設置計劃》（高雄市立美術館，高雄，2014）、《游牧版》（京桂藝術基金會，高雄，2012）、《逆境膩境》（佛光緣美術館，屏東，2010）、《聯邦藝術巡迴展》（台灣，2010）、《新唐人全球華人油畫大賽交流展》（紐約，2008）等。

Dynasty Gallery is pleased to announce you, that we will hold the opening of Coca WANG’s latest solo exhibition “Girl Runs Away” at 4PM on 28 Mar. 2020. The exhibition will be held from the day to 9 May. It will present the creations by Coca WANG from 2018 to 2020, including acrylic on canvas, oil on wooden board, and mixed media.

Coca WANG is good at exploring the relationship between herself and society from her viewpoint and thinking about the issue of power domination. To her, it means that there is a delicate tension in life. Most topic of her works are presenting women. The photorealistic oil painting creation during her schooling period showed her technical skills. The works during Kaohsiung residency period were full of feelings that the artist wanted to tell the audience. She used to let herself and her female friends to be models, presenting the human body in a theater-like picture and emphasizing its exaggerated physical movements which often display a little sense of instability visually, thereby arousing the viewer's interest.

WANG has moved to Taipei these years. She began to think about coexistence with real life, at the same time, her works have also been transformed into a more mature layout. The artist seems to present the dreamland of night in a real way, look for another exit in the existing frame of society, also be a kind of self-expression of escaping from insecureness. The girl and her animal companions often began to appear in the painting together. With the background of rivers, forests, rainbows and other elements, the artist tried to make the works create a roaming wonderland with colorful atmosphere.

No matter how carefully the "girl" under the artist's brush creates her habitat. Because it is not easy to obtain, she is also worried about whether it will be collapsed easily. "It seems that life is always a ‘borrowed’ state." WANG mentioned so. Therefore, the girl must force herself constantly to leave the original comfort zone to find the real ideal garden in her mind. However, the terminal seems to be endless. "The constant searching is the action of girl against domination. Even she looks like being governed but must also enter the unknown jungle positively. Not to be trapped by fear, but to turn these uneasy adventures into gorgeous and weird daily life”. "Girl Runs Away" appears to show us the artist's deeply soul. In fact, this is a sincerest traveler's note.

Coca WANG was born in Kaohsiung, 1988. Now living in Taipei. She got master’s degree in Department of Fine Arts, National Kaohsiung Normal University. WANG is not only creating artworks but also crossover design and teaching in recent year.
