This artwork is inspired by a book called La Couleur Seule by Maurice Besset. It's a book about monochrome paintings in art history. I have been researching a hue of color that was between green and yellow and I wanted to see what it would look like if I used one gesture to paint a diptych. This marks the start of my large scale spatial paintings once I realized that the gesture of a single color in a brushstroke can be the main character in the painting.
