Tshewang Tenzin (b. 1978) 曾榮獲不丹皇家紡織學院「全國設計藝術比賽-傳統繪畫」冠軍， 其作品廣為不丹皇室及世界銀行組織所收藏。1990年 Tshewang 就讀於不丹國立佐里格楚蘇姆研究所學習傳統繪畫，繼承了父系傳統的第三代唐卡畫家，他發覺自己擁有豐富的不丹傳統文化遺產。 Tshewang的藝術旅程追隨由其父親—一位技藝精湛的唐卡畫家足跡所塑造，更因Tshewang與其他不丹傳統工藝大師的互動而更加豐富其作品的內涵， 正是在這些影響下發現了自己真正的使命：延續不丹傳統工藝並同時發展不丹當代藝術的進程。 Tshewang 完成學業後，隨即投入了21年的教學光陰，隨後結識了不丹當代藝術之父Asha Kama，開啟他對於當代藝術的投入與創作，並激起了他對於當代藝術的探索，開始試圖將傳統與變革融合為一體。Tshewang 創建了「Art United」藝術團隊，帶領年輕的傳統藝術家將創作引入當代藝術的概念，將不丹文化之美融入當代藝術之中。同時 Tshewang 更由國王任命，負責帶領傳統繪畫知識專業教育的大型皇家計畫，當前已完成吉格梅·辛格·旺楚克法學院與皇家學院的大型壁畫等項目。 綜觀 Tshewang 的藝術創作之路，他的每一個筆觸都體現了自我內省與觀照，希望能夠引領學生和觀者走出一條屬於自己的藝術之路，Tshewang 的藝術反映了正念，揭示了「自我」的本質，那是一段在有限生命的紛擾中能夠帶來專注與平靜的藝術旅程。

Tshewang Tenzin, born in 1978, has achieved remarkable acclaim, having won the National Design and Art Competition in Traditional Painting at the Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan. His works are held in high esteem, collected by the Bhutanese royal family and prestigious organizations like the World Bank. Tshewang began his formal education in traditional painting in 1990 at the National Zorig Chusum Institute in Bhutan, becoming the third generation in his family to carry forward the legacy of thangka painting. This rich heritage of Bhutanese tradition deeply influenced him, a path initially shaped by his father, a skilled thangka artist himself. Through interactions with other masters of Bhutanese traditional arts, Tshewang's artistic narrative deepened, finding his true calling in perpetuating Bhutanese crafts while evolving contemporary Bhutanese art.

After completing his studies, Tshewang devoted 21 years to teaching before encountering Asha Kama, the pioneer of contemporary art in Bhutan. This meeting sparked Tshewang's passion for modern artistic expressions, leading him to explore how tradition and innovation can be seamlessly integrated. He founded 'Art United,' a collective aimed at inspiring young traditional artists to embrace contemporary concepts, weaving the beauty of Bhutanese culture into the fabric of modern art. Appointed by the king, Tshewang also leads significant educational initiatives in traditional painting, including monumental mural projects at the Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law and the Royal Institute.

Tshewang's artistic journey is one of self-reflection and mindfulness, aiming to guide students and viewers along a personal path of artistic discovery. His work embodies a contemplative spirit that seeks to reveal the essence of 'self,' offering a serene, focused escape from the chaos of life through the medium of art.
