關於

Lin Chun-Pin (1981~)

Lin Chun-Pin was born in Changhua, graduated from the Sculpture Department of National Taiwan University of Arts in 2014. Now lives in Kaohsiung. The content of his works spans Eastern and Western cultures, and has a playful critical point of view, which is unique in the field of contemporary art. Since 2009, he has exhibited in Paris, Osaka, Seoul, Shanghai and various important cities in Taiwan, and has received high attention at home and abroad. His works are also collected in Taichung City Seaport Art Center, National Taiwan University of Arts, Fubon Art Foundation and other institutions. In 2020, his works are collected by Ever Rich and permanently displayed at Taoyuan International Airport.

"Cultural poaching" is the core concept from which Lin's creations begin. He observes our contemporary social phenomena from a macro perspective and processes the cultural materials in order to reflect the contemporary world. Lin takes the symbols from both Eastern and Western art histories and pop culture to juxtapose and reassemble them in an attempt to probe the values of our time in the context of contemporary art, and to reinterpret the framework within present boundaries.
