此次於曙畫廊「歷史的微音」雙個展，彭斯和羅展鵬藉由各自探索而呈現出的作品獨特面貌，所展示的不僅是重建或再現，更試圖勾勒出對現實的建立與傳承——聚焦於切身關注的「記憶所繫之處」，得以將某些幽隱中的凋零象徵，將之重新喚醒、復甦，轉生為繼續活存的歷史。
彭斯畫面中遺世絕俗的寂寥感、蒼疏荒茫的情境等元素，富含著對生命的思考與對歷史的感悟。羅展鵬化顏料媒材為時間刻痕的精湛技藝下，尋求油畫形式的多方可能性，凝為對於歷史的觀看、記憶與洞察。透過兩位藝術家創作中突顯出人物的所處與主體的幽微之音，看似渺小而幾乎為人所淡忘的細節及隱密的罅隙得以被直面、感受……
In this dual exhibition of "Whispers of History," artists Peng Si and Lo Chan Peng present unique works born out of their individual explorations. What they showcase is not just about reconstruction or representation but an attempt to outline the establishment and transmission of reality – focusing on the intimately connected "places of memory." Here, certain subtle symbols of decay hidden in the shadows are reawakened, revived, and transformed into a continuing living history.
Peng Si＆#039;s evoke a sense of otherworldly solitude and desolation, containing profound reflections on life and insights into history. Lo Chan Peng, through his meticulous use of pigment as a medium for the marks of time, seeks multiple possibilities within the realm of oil painting, creating a profound perspective on history, memory, and insight. Through the subtle nuances and sounds of the subjects in their artworks, both artists bring to light seemingly insignificant and almost forgotten details and hidden crevices, allowing them to be confronted and felt…… -
