Artist Statement 20.07.2023

My latest developments has led to the Chauvet-series, taking its name from the famous new findings of the Chauvet cave in France 1994 near the commune of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc. Just as the Lascaux-cave, the series of works takes it name from the replicating experience of engaging with the cave sight and the huge limestone quarries. Like the animals depicted on the cave more than 30.000 years ago the animal like shapes of the sculptures eagerly invites you to engage with them. Telling stories long lost and forgotten by humans.

我的最新創作為肖維（ Chauvet ）系列，其名稱源於法國 1994 年在瓦隆蓬達爾克附近的著名新發現的肖維岩洞。正如拉斯科洛洞穴一樣，這一系列作品的名稱來自於對洞穴景象和巨大的石灰岩採石場的仿真體驗。就像 30,000 多年前洞穴上描繪的動物形狀，這些雕塑的動物形狀彷彿熱切地邀請你與它們互動，述說著被人類遺忘的久遠故事。
