這件作品通過《蛇梯棋》遊戲的形式描繪人生的旅程。右下角展示了出生場景，蛋殼的孵化以及生命發展的第一步。此時，人生的起點似乎每個人都有平等的機會，眾多的眼睛在密切觀察著進展。

然而，很快有人找到了捷徑，而其他人則沿著充滿障礙的曲折路徑前行，如第三聯畫所示。在遊戲的延續中，能夠觸及愛的魔法燈的人是幸運的，達到更高的幸福境界。畫作中的氣泡象徵著每個階段的脆弱性，雖然看似路徑固定，但突如其來的意外步伐可能會顛覆一切。

不同的圖案反映了每個階段和生活事件的特徵，從快樂的向日葵到嫉妒的深綠色魔鬼。

有些人幸運地避開了黑暗的道路，而另一些人則在掙扎中努力爬起，即使短暫的快樂也往往隨之而來的是更多的困難。然而，結局是不可避免的，無論是否借助梯子，在左上角，生命隨風消逝，種子如同遊戲開始時的足跡，為新的生命循環播下希望。

The work depicts the path through life in the form of the board game snakes and ladders.

In the right bottom corner we see the birth scene with the hatching of the eggs and directions given towards the first steps in development.

At this stage of the game it seems every individual has equal chances of a succesful life journey. Dozens of eyes carefully observe the progress.

Very soon however, some find shortcuts while others proceed along a more treacherous obstacle filled route as depicted in the third panel. In the continuation of the game, lucky is the one who reaches the magic lamp of love and reaches a higher state of happiness. The bubbles througout the the painting represent the fragile nature of each phase. While one might assume its path is fixed, a sudden unexpected step can turn everything upside down.

The different patterns reflect the character of each phase and life event, from sunflowers of joyfulness to the dark green demons of jealousy.

While some are lucky to avoid the dark paths, others struggle to rise up and even short moments of enjoyment are soon followed by further hardship.

The end however is inevitable and, with or without the help of ladders, in the top left corner, life fades in the wind and the seeds, mirroring the footsteps of the start of the game, are planted for a new cycle of life to begin.
